John Arthur Kenrick was a member of the well established hardware family in the Birmingham. He formed a business partnership with Frederick Thomas Jefferson, who was a local solicitor. Together they created a printing, equipment, stationery and office furniture business. They were well known for creating stacking Oak bookcases.
