Description
A beautiful vintage mid-century Mediterranean harbor landscape painting, finely executed in a heavily textured impasto oil style on canvas. This vibrant scene highlights a sun-drenched waterfront featuring traditional whitewashed stone villas, terracotta roofs, and charming balconies bursting with colorful floral displays. A classic rigged sailboat sits peacefully at anchor in the clear, reflective coastal waters against a backdrop of distant golden-hued mountains.
The painting beautifully utilizes a tactile palette-knife technique to bring a sculptural, three-dimensional depth to the architectural elements and natural scenery. Signed by the artist in the lower left corner, the artwork is presented in its original dark-stained wood gallery frame with a polished metallic gold inner slip border. It is a wonderfully nostalgic decorative piece that captures the bright, relaxed allure of a European seaside holiday.
