Holytown Antiques is always interested in hearing about antique, vintage and quality pre-owned items that may be suitable for our shop.

Whether you have a single piece of furniture, artwork, homewares, collectables or a number of items to sell, send us some details using the form below and we’ll be happy to take a look.

There is no obligation to accept an offer from us.

We are selective about the pieces we buy, as everything has to fit with the style, quality and current stock at Holytown Antiques.

An item being antique or vintage does not automatically mean that we will be able to make an offer.

How It Works

1. Tell Us About Your Item

Complete the form below with as much information as you can.

Helpful details include:

  • What the item is
  • Approximate age, if known
  • Maker or manufacturer, if known
  • Measurements
  • Condition
  • Any damage, repairs or missing parts
  • Your location
  • The price you are hoping to achieve, if you have one in mind

Don’t worry if you don’t know the age, maker or history — just provide whatever information you have.

2. Send Us Photographs

Clear photographs are extremely helpful when deciding whether an item may be suitable for us.

Where possible, please include:

  • A photograph of the whole item
  • Views from different angles
  • Close-ups of any labels, signatures, stamps or maker’s marks
  • Photographs of any damage or repairs

3. We’ll Review It

Once we have looked at the information provided, we may:

  • Make you an offer
  • Ask for additional photographs or information
  • Arrange to view the item where appropriate
  • Let you know if it isn’t something we are currently able to purchase

We aim to respond as soon as possible, although particularly unusual pieces may require a little additional research.

Our Offers

Any offer made by Holytown Antiques takes into account factors such as:

  • Current condition
  • Age and authenticity
  • Maker or manufacturer
  • Quality and desirability
  • Current market demand
  • Restoration that may be required
  • Transport and collection costs
  • The price we are realistically likely to achieve when the item is resold

Please remember that an offer to purchase is different from a retail valuation. As a retailer, we need to allow for the costs and risks involved in collecting, preparing, storing and reselling an item.

You are under no obligation to accept our offer.

Collections

If we agree to purchase an item, collection may be possible depending on its size and location.

For larger furniture or multiple items, we will discuss collection arrangements with you before completing the purchase.

Please let us know about any access issues such as:

  • Stairs
  • Narrow doorways
  • Limited parking
  • Restricted road access
  • Difficult access to the property

This helps us determine what will be required to collect the item safely.

Please Submit Items Online First

To allow us to assess items properly, please do not bring items into the shop for sale without prior arrangement.

All items should initially be submitted through the Sell to Us form so that we can review them before arranging a viewing or collection.

Items We May Not Be Able to Buy

There will be occasions when we are unable to make an offer.

This can simply be because:

  • We already have similar stock
  • There is limited current demand for the item
  • The condition makes resale impractical
  • Transport or collection costs would be too high
  • The item does not fit our current stock
  • We are unable to establish enough information about the piece

Declining an item does not necessarily mean that it has no value.
