We aim to describe and photograph all items as accurately as possible. As many of our pieces are antique, vintage or pre-owned, signs of age, previous use, marks, repairs and other age-related characteristics may be present.

For online purchases, applicable UK consumer cancellation and return rights apply. If you wish to return an item, please contact us before arranging the return.

Unless an item is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described, the buyer is normally responsible for the cost of returning the item.

For furniture and larger pieces, please contact us before arranging a return so that suitable transport can be discussed.

If condition is particularly important to you, we are happy to provide additional photographs, measurements or further information before purchase.

Collection is available from Holytown Antiques for items marked Collection Only or where collection is otherwise agreed.

Local delivery may be available within approximately a 20-mile radius of ML1 for an additional charge, subject to the size of the item, distance and access requirements.

For larger items or deliveries outside our local area, a courier may be arranged either by the buyer or, where possible, by Holytown Antiques.

Please contact us before purchasing if you would like a delivery quote or if there are any access issues such as:

• Stairs
• Narrow doorways
• Limited parking
• Restricted road access
• Difficult entrances

For furniture and larger items, please check the measurements carefully before purchasing to make sure the item will fit through all necessary access points.

If delivery cannot be completed because of an access issue that was not disclosed beforehand, the original delivery charge will still be payable and any further delivery attempt may incur an additional charge.

Availability & Reservations

Many of the items sold by Holytown Antiques are unique, one-off pieces and may be available both online and in our physical shop.

We make every effort to keep website availability up to date. However, on rare occasions an item may sell in store shortly before an online order is completed. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and refund any payment made.

Reserve with a Deposit

Where available, customers can choose to reserve an item by paying a 20% deposit, with the remaining balance payable before or at the agreed collection or delivery date.

Payment in full remains the default option at checkout.

The deposit option may require you to be logged into your Holytown Antiques account.

Once a deposit has been accepted, the item will be removed from general sale for the agreed reservation period.

The remaining balance must be paid within the timeframe agreed with Holytown Antiques. If you need additional time, please contact us before the agreed date.

Cancelling a Reservation

If you wish to cancel an item reserved with a deposit, please contact us as soon as possible.

Any refund or amount retained from the deposit will depend on the circumstances of the cancellation and any reasonable costs or losses incurred by Holytown Antiques.

We will not retain more than is fair and permitted under applicable consumer law.

If Holytown Antiques is unable to complete the sale, any deposit paid will be refunded.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights, including any cancellation rights that may apply to online purchases.

Collection or Delivery

Please arrange collection or delivery within the agreed reservation period.

If you are unable to collect or take delivery within the agreed timeframe, please contact us as soon as possible so that alternative arrangements can be discussed.

If the remaining balance is not paid and we have been unable to agree an extension, the reservation may be cancelled and the item returned to general sale.

One-Off Stock

Due to the nature of antique and vintage stock, once an item has been sold we may not be able to source another identical example.
