A beautifully simple antique side table dating from around the late Victorian to early Edwardian period.
Featuring a square top above a plain deep frieze, the table stands on four elegant turned legs connected by low stretchers. The restrained design gives it a particularly versatile appearance, allowing it to sit comfortably in both traditional and more contemporary interiors.
The timber has developed a lovely warm patina, with age-related knocks, scratches and rubbing throughout which add to the character of the piece.
A very useful size for a lamp table, bedside table, occasional table or plant stand.
