Description
A substantial vintage wall mirror with an ornate floral and foliate frame, finished in an attractive antiqued champagne colour frame.
The rectangular surround is richly moulded with repeating leaves, flowers and fruit-like motifs, picked out against a darker recessed background which gives the decoration plenty of depth.
A narrower inner moulding with a delicate beaded edge frames the mirror plate and gives the piece a more refined finish.
The combination of silver, champagne and muted gold tones makes this particularly easy to place — decorative enough to make a statement, but softer than a bright gold mirror.
This vintage mirror is perfect as an overmantle mirror but would be equally effective in a hallway, dining room or above a dressing table.
