Description
An exceptionally elegant and substantial vintage late 20th-century rectangular wall mirror, manufactured by the premier London studio Richmond Glass (Richmond Mirrors Ltd). Titled the "Tivoli" model, the frame features a wide, deeply molded border intricately cast with a continuous, repeating trailing acanthus leaf and floral vine motif. Finished in a bright and radiant gold gilt, the frame offers a clean, luxurious metallic glow that beautifully catches the ambient light of the room.
A true testament to quality British craftsmanship, the backing retains its original official manufacturer label. The central mirror plate features a premium, wide bevelled edge that refracts light around its perimeter, lending a sophisticated sense of weight, depth, and three-dimensional luxury to the reflection. Highly versatile in design, this substantial mirror can be hung either horizontally or vertically, acting as an ideal statement focal point above a fireplace mantel, sideboard, or console table.
