Brass Trough Planter / Plant Pot

Description

A very smart vintage brass trough planter, combining a simple elongated form with strong architectural detailing.

The planter has a long rectangular body with softly rounded ends, finished in polished golden brass tones. A series of raised horizontal bands run around the upper and lower sections, giving the piece its particularly distinctive appearance.

Across the centre is a contrasting silver coloured band, creating a striking break in the brass and adding to the streamlined, Art Deco-inspired character of the design.

At 46 cm long, this is a particularly useful size for displaying a group of small houseplants, bulbs, herbs, dried flowers or seasonal arrangements. It would look equally effective positioned along a windowsill, on a console or sideboard, or used as a centrepiece on a dining table.

The relatively narrow 14 cm depth also makes it practical for places where a conventional round planter would project too far into a room.

Its clean geometric styling works particularly well with both traditional furniture and mid-century or eclectic interiors, while the polished brass provides warmth and contrast against darker woods.

length 46cm / depth 14cm / 15.5cm
