Description
A compact and decorative vintage tripod occasional table dating to around the 1960 / 1980's , made in the traditional Georgian manner and offering a useful little surface without taking up much floor space.
The circular top measures approximately 31 cm in diameter and has an attractive shaped pie-crust style edge. The timber across the top shows a particularly pleasing grain pattern, with warm reddish-brown tones and natural movement through the surface.
The table stands on a turned central pedestal with ring-turned detail and a vertically fluted central section, giving the stem more character than a plain turned support. Below, the pedestal divides into three swept legs with gently curved feet, giving the table a balanced and elegant silhouette.
At only 31 cm high, this is a deliberately low piece and would work particularly well beside a chair, in front of a window, beside a fireplace, or as a small display stand for ceramics, brass, a lamp or plant.
Its compact size also makes it a practical addition to smaller rooms where a full-size side table would feel too bulky. The warm finish and decorative pedestal give it an appealing traditional character.
